Kinesis Project dance theatre is a non-profit organization that creates site specific dance performances and facilitates educational programs. The company produces large-scale, space-changing and unexpectedly intimate dances. Kinesis Project is at the forefront of the international discussion of placemaking, art engagement with diverse communities and the cultural imperative of art in public spaces.

Featuring dance classes, site-specific performances, workshops, and a showcase of Staten Island choreographers, the Snug Harbor Dance Festival on August 6 – 7 creates space for artists and communities to get inspired, create, and connect through movement.

The Snug Harbor Dance Festival is generously sponsored by Kevin Chau. This program is made possible with support from Samuel I. Newhouse Foundation, The New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
